Best Practice in Forests
Proper forest management is the Key to producing the right trees for manufacturing the right product. The pride and care taken concerning the growth and management including land preparation, seed selection, planting, disease and pest control, thinning, pruning and harvesting, is a deliberate, methodical and continuous process to ensure that the end users needs are not only met but exceeded in many cases.
Best Practices in Manufacturing
The Juken Mill is modern, efficient and environmentally clean. The quality management system is audited by third parties, which allows the Mill to deliver reliable and durable products that can be trusted as fit for purpose.
The Mill integrates OSB and MDF technology using presses made by the German manufacturer G Siempelkamp and Co.
The manufacturing process of the Juken products used in the fabrication of Strandwood panels, has been designed to reduce the environmental impact of the operation by using processes that treat emissions and most of the off-cuts, bark, sander dust and other similar materials. Some are burnt onsite to generate process heat, thus reducing demand on sources of energy such as oil and electricity, with the remainder used offsite as a soil conditioning medium.
